I mentioned legal aid
because the mrs used to work in family law and attended many cases where the couples argued over total shit w entirely at the tax payers' expense. Most divorces barely touch the courts. there are tears and rows and some difficult conversations in solicitors offices and then you sign a deal and behave like grown ups. Not in this instance obviously.

It's frankly mad to let a divorce get to court
The only winners are the lawyers. If someone you love says 'not for me anymore' then you win nothing by trying to make their life harder.. It completely justifies their decision.
