i am concerned
but will wait and see.
a lot of the limits they were working under, and the writers strike, made the first one as good as it was. i worry that the temptation to go all out with the new technology will mean its all huge long shots of cityscapes and not crushed-in claustrophobia. also, the green screen acting skill disabler.

As much as I'm excited by this, I'd like to know who's writing it and why he's not making The Forever War into a film yet.

There's plans to film the forever war?
Love that book. Better be done right though...

He's talked about it, I believe he has the rights or as it least linked to its eternal state of pre production
I think news last was he was looking for a writer, any writer to scribe it for him.

Wait, what?!
Replicants can have kids now? I can't imagine Batty being so batty if he knew he'd be survived by someone...
Ah, of course, it's a reboot or re-imagining or reinterpretation or some other buzzword they use to disguise a lack of new ideas. Sorry to rant guys, but by and large I _really_ hate people messing with films that are practically perfect to start with (even if it is Ridley himself).
Oh and lest I forget, can someone explain just what talent or other good quality has made Shia so famous?
