It looks beautiful and I can admire it for that, but the plot is unforgivably stupid
and has so many WTF moments you just don't care about the characters. I mean, two guys get left behind and NOBODY NOTICES. They are in an alien environment and they TAKE THEIR HELMETS OFF. The lead archaeologist is a massive nob. Why do they put him in charge? I could go on.
As I said though, beautifully filmed.

It's the only film I've watched and thought
I wish I was watching this in 3D.
BUT, like you say, beautiful to look at, but absolute bobbins narratively
