They're making too much money off it.
Most of his family have law degrees, and they use them to fight freedom of speech cases against anyone who tries to shut them up (eg the families of the dead servicemen whose funerals they picket)
Which makes them double cunts in my book

Yeah, but they look to him as the preachy overlord.
And I don't know if any of the others have the background to fill that role when he snuffs it. I think most of them expect the rapture to come before he dies.
