This is a normal post I've often suspected games like Black Ops
is just a way to desensitise the youth and act as a recruitment tool for a life in the military. I got suspitious when I noticed they issued the HM armed forces action man in the Uk with desert camo a while back. I'm just waiting for Barbie to get a military makeover

This is a normal post Did you also notice...
..that when you use automated checkouts in Tesco, they're training us to work for them. It's also a recruitment tool. I wouldnt be surprised if the next Black Ops is fought in a tesco uniform.

This is a normal post unless you play on the terrorists side
though I agree black ops is a masturbatory aide for adolescent American teens with a fetish for invading countries with a marginally effective air force

This is a normal post Predictive programming, very interesting subject.
Check out Alan Watt
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKAVAyqRyKE

It's absolutely everywhere; movies, music videos, games, someone once said that most culture is predictive programming, also in drama 'anchoring' is used to enforce certain ideas.

The Dark Knight has quite alot of it, for example they enforce the idea that rules have to broken for your own protection, that's one reading of it anyway.

This is a normal post I know the site, some great info, though it's extremely ugly.
Do you know this one

knowledgefiles.com/view-all-books/

Also, I'm sure you're aware of the following ideas being pushed in culture;

Transhumanism
The merging of the sexes
Police State imagery.

Great japes!

This is a normal post Fascinating stuff, and pretty much inevitable I think.
The new Deus Ex game even has the h+ logo in the trailer.

The game looks incredible also, an amazing site here for the 'company' within the game.

Also, lots of secrets on the site, also use your webcam to 'augment' your bits.

Also, here is the official magazine of the Transhumanism movement, yes it's real, some fascinating articles though;

This is a normal post fair point
but I'v e seen som e of those first person shooters on yotube and it amazes me how realistic they're getting and how casual a killing is carried out.

I'd say the average 14 year old after a few years of that would feel less sensitised in real life about pulling a trigger on a real human being. Especially as the line between realistic gameplay and reality is getting more blurred by the day with the tech . Much different than role playing with your imagination as the behaviour is programmed into you with the computer games .

In fact to get good on teh game missions you need to modify your behaviour and morality in line with the game. Is this not true?

I could be wrong though

This is a normal post No, I don't think it's true.
Games like this have been around for 10 years or so now and we don't have a generation of morally devoid trigger happy weirdos around (no more than we would normally anyway). I think most kids can tell the difference between whats real and whats not.

This is a normal post I agree up to a point
I think we'll see the difference in the military not on the streets.
kids exposed to the most realistic computer stuff would make a more effective soldier. someone more readily able to follow orders without thought or conscience. And we all know how important it is for soldiers to question their orders these days.

the aim of the military is to get the average soldier less resistant to pulling the trigger as possible. To behave more like a machine than someone with free will. In WW1 they found 70% of the weapons of the battle dead were not even fired . No doubt today thanks to conditioning it's far less.

This is a normal post All of these games are utterly useless for actual army training though
As they all encourage 'lone wolfing', ignoring orders and just running around doing whast you want, tactically.

All of these have to be physically beaten out of new squaddies, so they do what they're told, rather than what they think is best.
