Oh I like that Heavy Rain game
particularly the booby bits. Think I'm quite near the end now.

It's a very good ending
Except I failed, and would like to play it again to get it right

hmm
my launch week 60GB PS3 died just before xmas with the yellow light of death - called up Sony and they offered me a reconditioned one for £130 with 3 month warranty so I decided to get a 250 GB slim instead. I've heard lots of similar stories about the launch PS3s failing last year (the one with 4 USBs, card readers and backward compatibility that was withdrawn from sale about 3 months later)... methinks they went into production before proper testing....

I bought one of the launch PS3's (off ebay no less) a few years ago now
and upgraded the HD to a 500GB one a few months back and aside from some slight delays when browsing the web that I didn't notice before it works fine (that said, the browser is awful anyway!)

Yeah I'm not sure if the problem
is the motherboard warping and soldered connections coming unstuck (as reported) due to overheating or some compatibility issue with the HD that causes the problem (though the actual game that killed my PS3 was Operation Flashpoint 2)

I know they went into production early without testing....
While researchng with the BBC in Kingswood Warren they told me to stay clear of it for a few years while they worked out the bugs. Said it was badly manufactured and 'shoddy' to say the least.
