Not really
It was like eating a big piece of blu tac coated in neapolitan ice cream and yes I used white bread (kwik save's finest no frills bread to be precise)

At the end of a visit I asked my forrin relatives what they liked best about English food
Happy Shopper economy sliced white bread was the clear favourite.
