My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

Oneof my small joys,is being stopped on a match day and asked the way to Old Trafford. If they're not obvious United fans I tell them. If they are, I lie about the roadworks and direct them to Oldham. Petty I know.
