This is a question The B3TA Confessional

With the Pope about to visit the UK, what better time to unburden yourself of anything that's weighing on your mind by posting it on the internet? Pay particular attention to the Seven Deadly Sins of lust, greed, envy, pride, posting puns on the QOTW board and the other ones. Top story gets to kneel before His Holiness's noodly appendage, or something

Not a shitstorm
but I think it's sad when very genuine and valid criticisms of the conduct of the Church become sullied by pointless and nonsensical slurs.

By all means, have a go at the Pope for his complicity and/or complacency in ignoring or covering up child abuse in the past, but suggesting he himself has ever been involved, without any evidence, is a little bit out of order, no?

It's the sort of thing that isn't going to change the minds of the Faithful and is probably going to make a lot of people who might otherwise agree with your point think that you might just be a bit daft.

googling it
Pretty much says he most likely did it, so, imo the odds are he did. I feel he must've done something if he defends it.

Not necessarily
He'd be defending the institution of which he is somewhat a part by covering up minor things like institutionalised child-fucking, to protect its good name (ha!).

Let's not forget terrorism
