This is a question Customers from Hell

The customer is always right. And yet, as 'listentomyopinion' writes, this is utter bollocks.

Tell us of the customers who were wrong, wrong, wrong but you still had to smile at (if only to take their money.)

Mr Bin
used to work at the technical faults centre for a cable tv company.

As you can imagine this was a veritable banquet of dumb fuckery.

My favourite one though goes like this:
Customer had phoned complaining that they had no picture on their TV.

Mr Bin: "Are there any lights on the cable box?"
Dumb Fuck: "No, nothing"
MB: "And the box is plugged in and switched on?"
BF: "Yes"
MB: "Ok I'm going to need you to look behind the box to check that all the cables are plugged in"
BF: "Well that's going to be a bit of a problem, we've got a power cut you see."

Makes you wonder that he can breath in and out.

Some people
can't understand this sort of thing at all. My dad, who is reasonably intelligent, is completely at a loss to understand how he can be watching terrestrial television when the green light is illuminated on his Sky box. He is convinced that he's watching the picture for the satellite when the box is on. I've tried explaining numerous times that the light merely indicates that the box is switched on, not that the television is necessarily displaying the signal from it, but to no avail.

I must draw a block diagram for him one day.

My mum
generally wonders why the DVD (or stereo) remotes don't make Sky change channel. And as for live pause ..... "So can you fast forward live TV as well?" My head exploded trying to think that one through!

my sister
told me the other day that she bought a new tv. Seems the old one was playing up and the picture was going funny. Someone had told her it might be getting ready to 'blow up' so she had been hiding behind the door while turning it on with the remote... just in case.
