This is a question Pointless Experiments

Pavlov's Frog writes: I once spent 20 minutes with my eyes closed to see what it was like being blind. I smashed my knee on the kitchen cupboard, and decided I'd be better off deaf as you can still watch television.

Boredom + Office means potential death!
One boring afternoon at a certain bottle water company I was working at (might have sounded something like wowwop) me and a fellow coworker, who we shall call Nobby decided to try and 'motivate' ourselves using the following:

Pro Plus caffeine pills x 2
Kick drink from Tesco's x 1 (bloody awful stuff it is!)

Nobby, being a gung ho sort of chap, went first.....

After 5 minutes he started to sweat...

After 10 minutes his head was on the desk, still sweating....

Two minutes later he said his chest was hurting and he felt funny.

He looked it too...I dont think i've ever seen someone so white!

So Pro Plus and Kick drink from Tesco's do not mix!

If you dont belive me then try it!

EDIT: yeah well some of you have and my mates a wuss! Didnt know there was two type of relentless drink though? will have to try some.

Rubbish
Unless he had a heart condition, I'd imagine a lot of that was placebo effect.

Too true...
Having had an early start at work, I was wondering how I was going to stay awake that evening through my whole DJ set.

When I arrived at the nightclub, I nipped around the corner to the local Tesco Metro, and bought a litre of Kick and a pack of Pro Plus. I washed 4 Pro Plus tabs down with the entire litre of Kick.

To be fair, I stayed awake and energetic during my DJ set, but when I got home at about 5am, I lay on my bed and could feel my whole body vibrating rapidly but gently - a bit like a hum.

I eventually got to sleep and woke up several hours later with the most godawful stomach cramps. Plenty of water sorted that one, but I had weird side effects for a couple of days, including my left eyebrow twitching independently every couple of minutes, like it was auditioning to be on Roger Moore's face or something.

A bit tame...
I did this with that beer-can-lookalike Relentless drink that came out last year(?). Washed down four cans in three hours while driving my van from London to Manchester. I remember getting to the M6 tolls and catching sight of myself in the reflection of the toll booth, I can't remember what I said to the troll behind the counter but I suspect it was something incomprehensible ... I was a shivering wreck but high as a kite. Took two days to wear off. A mere 75mg of caffeine shouldn't do that to your friend, though.

I once took 8 pro plus
in one go. It was a bit like speed. But less good.

Oh Dear...
I've never done the Pro Plus and Kick thing, as Pro Plus seems to have the wrong effect on me, and makes me fall asleep!

I do regularly however, buy 4 cans of Relentless at lunchtime, and drink them by 4 o Clock.

I sometimes get the shakes, but apart from that no ill effects!

Proplus and Kick/Red Bull
Swollocks- it will do no harm at all. All the Chefs at my old place done it, and pretty much all the waiting staff to get us through another service from hell!
Also add double Espressi into the equation for real good times.

your mate's a wuss
I regularly drink Relentless (actually, I really like the one in the green can - very tasty!), as I work silly hours at times. Occassionally feel a bit jittery but that's about it. Oh and don't eat yoghurt afterwards, or you try to shit your eyeballs out in a hurry.

Variations on a theme:
1) A Litre of Irn Bru and 8 pro plus - a regular breakfast when I was a student doing charity collecting on RAG tours in scotland - sleep all night on a church hall floor and get up at 5:30am to get ready and you need something to pick you up.

2) Rocket Fuel coffee - that'll keep you going when you're coding all night to hit a deadline.

3) the midnight gaming snack of Cadbury's boost, red bull and pringles - enough sugar, e numbers and caffeine to make your head burst.

oh, and for a nice time, get some Relentless in and drink that instead of tea or coffee when smoking your doobage - you'll get nicely toasted, but not sleepy. Your sides may hurt for days with all the laughing, though.

Proplus is fantastic and pure evil in equal amounts
These stories have just brought back some truly horrific memories involving caffeine.

A little while back I managed to by 192 proplus off ebay for about £5 (4 x 48pack) and have slowly been munching my way through them. I've found what works well is downing 4 before going on a big night out and it will keep you awake until silly-o-clock with no ill effects and let you go straight to sleep when you actually try to.

However, at a festival recently I got a little bit too drunk and had the pack on me. I drank about 8 redbulls and had 16 proplus over the course of a few hours and to say I was bouncing off the walls would be a gross understatement. I entered a higher state of consciousness where everything was shimmering and fantastic..... dear god how I regretted that the next day, I still get the odd pang on heart pain now.

snorting ground up pro plus..
Suggested to a drunk sleep deprived mate.. who took it seriously.. 6 tabs+beer glass+table later, pile of powder achieved and partaken of with the help of a spoon.
Result: lots of sneezing, ridicule, and not much effect.
