you wouldn't see me dead at one
I have no experience in festivals, and do not want ant thankyou very much...who in the hell would want to stand in a field, getting squashed between filthy smelly people jumping up and down, waving their arms two and frow. Not me, I like my soft and bouncy kingsize bed, my hotwater bottle and if I want to listen to music I'll simply put on the cd. ;)

No offence
But I’m not a fan of these ‘I don’t like festivals, I’ve never been’ posts.

If you’ve never been, you don’t know you don’t like them. It’s the same attitude as a child who doesn’t like broccoli – they don’t know that they don’t like it when they haven’t tried it, but don’t like it on principle.

And if you’ve been and still don’t like them, fair enough. They’re not for everyone. But it doesn’t exactly make for a good QOTW answer…

I can understand people not liking them...
The stories that come out of festivals, are almost completely related to not washing, eating or pooing properly for 3 days. Some people don't like that, or camping, or annoying 16 year olds away for the weekend for the first time without mum or dad (my personal worst aspect of festivals). Some people just don't like that stuff.

Also, I've never had a cock up my arse, and I'm not going to try that just because Graham Norton tells me it's the best thing since sliced bread...

That's
a very difficult analogy to argue with.

You're right as well, all we'll have this week is a lot of stories about effluent, vomiting, tripping and smegma. But the fact is people love festivals DESPITE this, which says a lot. The same must hold true for the post-GCSE teenie-boppers - people still like the festival, even if they hate that aspect.

And you should definitely try a cock up the arse - it's just top-notch.

(May not have experienced this personally, but am sure that I'm right)

In my youth
I would get in about the crowds and dance around like a loon. Good fun but I can see why people don't like it.

Nowadays though I stand near the back and get absolutely stinking drunk.
