OrdetCarl Theodor Dreyer's 1955 film Ordet (aka, The Word). What a powerful, humbling masterpiece: makes you want to surrender the vanities of unbelief, and become a strict Lutheran, immediately! The slow measured pace, the intensity of emotion, the surprise ending - wow! Johannes, the apparent madman, sweeps all before him with his childlike faith.
