According to my sort-of-ex birdwho used to run a Ladbrokes: the bookies lose money on single win bets on football. So if you must bet, you could do worse than put £100 on Man Utd to win each Saturday.

wouldn't win much thoughyou probably make £10-20 each week on your £100 bet they way they're playing at the moment. taking into account the odd times when they do lose and you lose your ton you'd probably end up only making a few quid over a year.
