This is a question Bizarre habits

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

Not sure if this is bizarre...
...or just gross. Probably the latter to be honest.

But... my bizarre habit is skin peeling. And not just my own either, other peoples. It started a few years ago when my Grandmother had something wrong with her legs. I can't remember the exact name of it, but I believe it was linked to either fluid retention or kidney disease, she ended up hospitalised over it in the end. She was retaining water and she ended up with the skin on patches of her legs flaking off in thick, scaly pieces. She used to get me to sit down in front of her, with a pair of tweezers and peel it all off for her, because it drove her mad. It would break into smaller pieces as you tried to pull it off, so there was something really satisfying about getting all the skin off. Now if I or someone I know gets sunburnt, I love when it gets to the peeling stage so I can peel it all off.

I am a freak :(

Also, my sister says 'LOL' out loud instead of laughing whenever she finds something funny. I find that bizarre.

You're not alone.
Somehow I enjoy that too. I frequently regret going into gastroenterology rather than dermatology. There's just something so... satisfying... in seeing that flakey gross skin gone, no longer causing its affliction. Just be careful and don't peel anything that's still attached to the upper dermis - it'll bleed, hurt, and possibly get infected.

But you are not alone.

I used to do this
when I had eczema on my feet. Nothing more satisfying than getting a large piece of skin off in one go.

I also used to like pulling out the sock fluff that inevitably got stuck in the cracks (foot cracks you dirty bastard!)

Not other people's
But my own. Even as an adult, I will go so far as covering the back of my hand or lower arm with that white paper glue you used to get at school (wood glue works just as well), letting it dry and then peeling it off. Most satisfying.

Tried it with Super Glue but you can't get a decent big bit coming off at once...
