This is a question Midlife Crisis

I've hit my forties, and my midlife crisis has manifested itself in old band T-shirts and a desire to go on camper van holidays. How has it hit you, or - if you are still a youngling - your elders?

Yup, Radio 2, how I hate it still!
Forced to listen to it as a kid, loathed it, and swore never to hear it again once I a had a radio of my very own, and I never have.

Don't tell me they play GOOD music on there nowadays. I still remember the Cliff Adams Singers, thank you very much.

They sometimes play Steely Dan songs, which is not a bad thing in my book.

Steely Dan - Cliff Adams. Steely Dan - Cliff Adams. Steely Dan - Cliff Adams.
Nah, can't risk it.

Surely Radio 2 is just Radio 1 from our yoof, moved to a different frequency?
(Can't say I listen to either, so I could be wrong)

I assumed that, as I get older, they will move again to Radio 3, when "Agadoo" is considered to be classical music...

The trouble with Radio 2
1. It has Steve Wright and Simon Mayo, both of whom I loathe.

2. They'll be playing something vaguely good and then suddenly drop in an easy-listening horror from the 1970s. It's a bit like Russian roulette.

3. My parents listen to it, and Dad is 75.

Mrs Zilla listens to it too, but women age faster than men, as any fule no.
