A saxophone and flute are broadly the same
the clarinet is different. A flute also has a mouthpiece you blow across, rather than in to like a sax/clarinet.

I know that sax & clarinet are reed instruments and that you blow across the flute.
So I'm kind of roughly right then? - Similar fingering, but different blowing for sax/flute; slightly different fingering, but same blowing for sax/clarinet.
