It's my fault. I was so vicious and relentlessly cruel that he had to go have a quiet sit down.

I was writing a reply pointing out that you were right.
Modern weapon systems are pretty much at the pinicle of not just what's practically possible but what's theoretically possible for "breaking stuff" and so even though we shouldn't be proud of it, it's a big achievment.

Yep, I entirely agree.
Most of mankind's technological advancement has come about as a direct result of war and the application of technology that was originally designed for weapons systems.
