It depends.
If it's a job you live for, then it must be okay to spend half the day on it.
I've never had that kind of job, and I really can't imagine loving any job that much. mr b3th is one of those lucky people who's always known what he wanted to do, and he did it for forty years.

get a job as a train driver.
Then you only have to travel to the station.

I was going to bed but I'm going to be serious for a bit
TD's CV -

1989 - 2002 - Insurance Management - latterly as a Lloyds broker
2002 - 2010 - Warehouse Manager - total shift from previous, but I wanted a change.
2010 - 2011 - Bus driver, then bus company manager - is there a link? No.
2011 - whenever - self employed.

The point is - don't feel constrained. Whatever you've got moves.

Seeing as we're being serious
I think, if I did find that one thing I could get passionate about, I'd be happy to put in the 60 hour weeks. But so far, I haven't. And I've tried so many different things and never properly succeeded at any of them. I keep hearing about how the only failure is when you stop trying, but as long as I keep trying to get jobs that might get me out of bed in the morning, they keep telling me that my experience isn't what they're looking for.

It's not doing wonders for my confidence levels, I'll tell you tyhat.

Something about ......
On my first day as a prostitute I earned £60.50p.
The pimp asked "which cheap Motherfucker gave you 50p"

All of them I replied

I don't know where you'll find the passion.
I love what I'm doing now but it's an extension of me being a property developer for a lot of years.

I'd love to come up with a sage, concise answer to kick your arse into gear but i can't.

Even if you could
there probably wouldn't be any point right now. I've managed to depress myself by dwelling on my enormous shortcomings and I'm about ready to throw myself under a bus.

A train would be more effective.
