I didn't like Lilac and Flag.Did you happen to read that as part of one of your uni courses? I did. I forget the lecturer, though.

yes.I love Berger's work. So tender.
It was Towards 2000: The 1990s. Lecturer was Jeff Wallace. He gave me an A3 for my dissertation.

I've still got the book. I'll re-read it, but I seem to remember thinking it was sentimental girly shite.
