I was off to bed..
but it can wait!

So long as it's a new thread each day
as they get really long otherwise :)

Well then!
*rubs hands*

I give a great massage, ladies! :)

(booze related confidence ahoy!)

EDIT: And b3ta misses you Ancrenne. And you Becks. Stupid work getting in the way of things! :)
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 22:38, Reply)
Yes
I do get sad during the day when you two aren't around :(

We'll have to find that picture. Can it just be pasted in?

Edit: And yes, a different one everyday and if it gets too long, I'll link it to an new one.*

*Er, I'll get Spak or K2k6 to do it, of course.
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 22:48, Reply)
Hehehe
I'm sure you would! ;)

Right ladies, I'm off to bed. But I'm sure you're all wearing smashing blouses.

See you tomorrow! x

Bye DiT
Sad cos I won't get to meet you tomorrow!
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 22:51, Reply)
Already done it lovely
I saved it in my photobucket album

Edit: Yay me and my nimble fingers of doom :)
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:00, Reply)
Yay
there it is.

I won't be able to post after about 11.30 tomorrow morning, but perhaps, if no one beats me too it, I'll set it up before I go and you can log on later and see if it's working!
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:01, Reply)
Wait
I'm too dim to be able to do this. How can I store the image and then stick it in a new thread (oh no - someone with a brain will see this and laugh at me)
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:07, Reply)
Points and laughs
Not really, we've all been there. Get yourself a photobucket account - it's free yay - then save the above image into your pictures on your computer, then upload them to photobucket - it has precise instructions that even my brother can follow and he's fucking useless - and then you want to copy and paste from the box that has 'HTML code' next to it.
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:09, Reply)
Righty-ho
Er, perhaps I'll try this in the morning!

Thanks Becky.

Edit: ancrenne, I won't be out with this lot either.

I might be on for a bit tomorrow
as we've got no ops scheduled for tomorrow as we're one vet down. So I'll probably be filing again - in the only room away from the others with the net.

ANNNNND I've discovered how to go on B3ta without it showing up in the cookies or most recently gone to sites or whatever you call it without having to delete the history.

(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:30, Reply)
I'm late!
Do I still get snoggy seconds?
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:30, Reply)
Re adding home sweet home images
If using firefox, select the area of text that surrounds the image, and right-click. Using the context-menu, select "View Selection Source". The HTML source window will open with the relevant HTML selected. Just find the <img ... > bit and paste that.

Hi all. Having the funs?

I was out practising drumming tonight. I haven't played in ages :( But it was good.

Is all well here?
(, Thu 3 Jul 2008, 23:33, Reply)
Who needs sloppy seconds
I've got some here saved up for ya all ,)

Anyone who's interested in Stealth B3ta'ing, it's pretty simple if you have gmail. Just type in b3ta to your search mail box and then click on the website link from you registering.

If you don't have that but have google toolbar installed, type b3ta into the toolbar and you get a new window pop up with b3ta goodness in it that doesn't show up on the history :)

It's like an addiction
I drank 4 cans in 3 and a half hours today at work. But then I swam 1400m, so in my head that makes it ok.

You been out cycling all day?

3rd year uni exams
Got the results through finally, last thursday I think it was. Passed them all. Even got 64% in the one I thought I had epically failed.

So that made me a bit happy.

Good things:

My QOTW suggestion was chosen
I played lots of guitar tonight, and sang
I can go to the mini-bash tomorrow night

Bad things:

I'm not credited in the QOTW question. Bastard.
I've driven to Brighton and back, so my legs are tired

Browsing the web undetected
Got to anonymouse.org/anonwww.html and type in the name of the website you wish to browse. There should be fewer traces. There are several other web-proxies.

@ancrenne
Re selecting text: Start your selection on some text before the image and extensd it to some text after the image. The image should be selected too.

Fancy lights and clamps sounds interesting.

EDIT: Evenin' K. Congratulations on having your QOTW suggestion chosen.

No one monitors our usage, just the vets and other nurses. We can use the net during breaks and before and after work, so I mostly abide by that, but we were all on each others facebook today looking at wedding photos

How to browse the web without a web-browser
Here's something you can try.

Open the command prompt and type

telnet www.b3ta.com 80

Then type the following:

GET /questions/offtopic/post190585 HTTP/1.0
and keep pressing ENTER untill you see the HTML sourcecode on the screen.

@ancrenne
Believe me, HTTP is hard to follow even when sober.

(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 0:15, Reply)

I'll probably be on earlier entertaining the other non-bashers. Who else is going to be on tomorrow night?
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 0:27, Reply)
I'll be on earlier just in case.
Still haven't heard if I'm getting an interview or not.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 0:35, Reply)
I'll not be on
After about ten tomorrow.

Silly work. On the plus side I'll be in London anyway.

(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 0:37, Reply)
I meant
10am, whoops!
I've gotta pop into the office for a bit, then go to London.

Also, I've got a jar of Polish cabbage, and I can't open the fucker.
Advice?
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 0:40, Reply)
.
Not sure when or even if I'll be on during the day. Trying to get some work done.

By the way, if I organise another QOTW mini-bash on Tue 22 July or Wed 23 July (the week before the Exeter one), would you be able to come on either of these dates? Still not sure which date I'll be in London.

EDIT: Make sure your hands and the jar are dry before trying to open them.

I have several. I like listening to cheesy 80's music.

Mine would be something by Van Halen, or Bon Jovi...

*breaks into Never Gonna Give You Up* yes, I'm partial to the old 80s cheese myself :) and stylish pop like Kirsty MacColl. Even if the vast majority of her fans I've met online are fucking horrible.

@ ancrenne
I'm back on uni internets now, and so unable to torrent for the moment :( apparently, the easiest way to get caught on the torrents is to seed anything, it makes it easier to be tracked. So the moment mine's completed, I stop it seeding. Mean, but I'm looking out for my internets.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:13, Reply)
@ Kaol
I loves teh Bon Jovi: they encouraged my musical progression from shit to decent rock: from them I moved on to GnR, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Judas Priest (courtesy of Mr Maladicta, the chronic metalhead) and stuff like DragonForce that aside from Through the Fire and Flames I just find funny.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:15, Reply)
I fuckin' hate Dragonforce...
*calms down*

In other news, I'm listening to Tool.
Excellent stuff.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:16, Reply)
Hi Maladicta
Kaol, so it's not the deepest of the deep dark places in Essex, but it used to be the place of the highest property prices in the UK. And it's overfuckingrun by Chavs. I'm literally going back to see the 'rents and see my cats as I miss my kitties.

Edit: Will stop seeding everything now as I don't fancy a scary letter from BT.

Edit 2: I don't listen to anything I'm ashamed for anyone else to hear. Aside from the music that plays in my head from time to time when I get a stupid grin on my face :)
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:17, Reply)
Woo!
Pixies are great!

I'm now listening to 30 Seconds To Mars. They're ok... God bless shuffle.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:20, Reply)
Fuck me, it's gone 1am
I'm going to bed, night kids xx
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:22, Reply)
Completed torrents.
If the torrent has multiple files, one way you can seed the torrent without appearing to be a seeder is to stop the completed torrent, move one of the files elsewhere, tell the Bittorrent client not to download the file, and seed the remains. You won't look like a seeder this way. Just remember to change the missing file every so often so that the missing file gets seeded too.

EDIT: 'night beckx
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:22, Reply)
Night becky!
See you tomorrow, haha!

Torrents - I have no idea how to use them. I know people who do. They hook me up with stuff.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:24, Reply)
@ spakka
For some reason, Azureus has a shitfit when it can't find all the files to be seeded and refuses to do so when I move one :(

Night Becky :)
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:26, Reply)
@ Kaol
DragonForce had one amazing song, and the rest is just ..... meh.

I've switched to John Denver. He never lets me down.

Ex-Mr Maladicta (the b3tan) hooked me up with Azureus when I was in Pervland, as a method to keep me sane and steal Italian bandwidth. I wouldn't be without them now...
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:28, Reply)

* squirts brain-coolant at ancrenne's head *
@Maladicta: You can tell Azureus to delete a file. Just make sure you copy the file elsewhere first. You just need to set the file-priority to 'delete'.
(, Fri 4 Jul 2008, 1:31, Reply)
