Yeah, fine, really. Just work shite.
Every now and again something happens that reminds me how depressingly stupid humanity in general is.

Today feels like of them quiet reading days you'd get at primary school
when your 20 year old teacher came in with a stinking hangover.

Well, I'm in a bar.
But there is no booze in it. A dry bar. Clearly the hang out of cunts. I might take my clothes off in protest.

This afternoon will be even quieter at our offices
There's lots of half-days being booked at short notice. I'm WFH so, when the servers are closed down I won't be able to work anyway. Not that I do much anyway.

Here's a question, when looking for a place to rent
how far in advance do/should you start looking? Whenever I do it, I seem to do it wrong. Either I'm asked why I've left it so late (a month in advance) or there's nothing on the market (six weeks).
Seems to be an inordinately difficult task for something as basic as paying somebody to let you live somewhere.

Usually there's nothing on the market yet.
See, the missus and I are trialling living together. She's letting out her flat and we're looking for somewhere to rent. I don't want to start looking until we absolutely have to because there's nothing more depressing than finding somewhere you like, only to be told you can't have it because you're not currently homeless and thus unable to move instantly.

Of course, if you are homeless, they often don't want you trying to rent somewhere, either.
Is this industry dominated by women? It seems as though it'd be a natural fit for them.

Any time you need a heads up on pensions or investment just get in touch.
Top tip: only use cash ISAs for your emergency fund of 3 times monthly income; anything else should be in a stocks & shares ISA!

i'd take a london property over your pension pot any day of the week
of course, both would be better, but i have no idea what my work does with my pension. i know my dad looked at the plan and said it was a good one, but that's about all i listened to.
