This:As you may be aware we have had significant issues with supply teachers recently. Yesterday, the supply teacher that year 3 had showed the children a ‘You Tube’ clip which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. I have reported the teacher to ‘Just Teachers’ (the supply agency) and sent a long letter of complaint, copying some correspondence from yourselves. They have responded that they are investigating the complaint and their safeguarding team is now involved. I have requested that I receive the outcomes of their investigation and will then escalate the complaint as necessary.
I really need to apologise that this has come on the back of a series of issues in year 3 this year and an unacceptable number of supply teachers. [Teacher named and shamed] has had significant absence this year and often this has been at very short notice to ourselves. While we always try to cover internally wherever possible, this is not always simplistic and straight forward.
Whilst I cannot go into detail I want to let you know that all of these these issues have been taken very seriously.
