It really isn't
It used to be all about wearing well cool silver suits and loads of fit alien birds.
Now it's all about being fat and being able to do everything on your phone.

The past isn't as good as it used to be either
Gone are the days of feudal systems and the British Raj, now it's all 9/11, Princess Diana and playing snake on a mobile. They don't even call it history anymore, it's all 'back in the day' or 'old school'

The local pub in my hometown
got demolished after it failed. Then the company that was supposed to build on it got in trouble for knocking down a listed bit. Now it's a field. I can now look at it and say 'I remember when all this was pub'.
