On the background I got a bit of DM Porn on the telly, this "Life on benfits: Britian on the Dole" thing.
I don't get why people are well jell of that? They're living in terrible conditions, wouldn't wanna live like that for live-nor-money. They all got fuck all really, and they all got so much debt that their fuck all turns to fuck all before they even press the withdraw button.

They aren't doing some half stupid shit though, like messuring the room by one bloke putting the messuring tape on the floor and the other one on the other side up against the wall whilst standing. Or getting tattoos. Or getting this ghost-hunter specialist person in.

I think the thing that I find really thick about the whole thing though is that you can't move out if you've got a debt, and their debts are adding up 'cus they can't move out.

I like how that article spends a couple of sentences poorly summarising an important bit of research before wanking on for paragraphs about I don't even know what.

There used to be a long-running newspaper ad in one of our local rags posing the question (and answer): Who brought the famous Birmingham balti to Coventry? This man did.

Manchester though.

The Uni are looking for a 3D printing machine and, as usual, they have a) no real firm idea of what they want, b)No real idea of what they want it to do and c)No idea of how much these machines cost.
But they reeeeeaaaally want one. Lord save me from academics
(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:52, Reply)
Haha yeah educated people really are stupid!

(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:53, Reply)
They wrote a spec for machine capabilities
One that prints plastics, rubbers and metals - such a machine does not and will not exist. Also, they think a budget of £10k will buy one.
(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:56, Reply)
Balti isn't even recognised as curry by Indians, it just means bucket.

(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:44, Reply)
i don't think most of the stuff on most menus would be recognised by indians
there's one in kingston that does chilli curry, or curried chilli, not quite sure which.
(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:45, Reply)
Chilli paneer is delicious and I commend it to the house.

I doubt many British curry house menus would be given that they're mostly from Bangladesh, you "terrible" "racist"

(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:47, Reply)
While this is true, their are not massively indistinguishable and I'm sure Indians would recognise Bangladeshi food, "you" terrible "racist"

anyone with more than 20,000 in debt that is neither mortgage or student loan should be locked up until the benefits they would be getting paid it off.
Given enough food to survive and maybe a telly, all funded from what their benefits would have been. Probably need to freeze the interest as well.
if they don't like that, gas them.

65 grand? They're having a LAUGH. How much can it cost to lock someone in a box?
(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 10:58, Reply)
Depends if the box is provided by G4S, Serco or Wackenhut
In which case it'll be more than £65k

(, Thu 11 Dec 2014, 11:01, Reply)
They shouldnt be allowed to get it in the first place.
There should be a crackdown on these Bright House places where you pay 3 grand for a 200 quid telly. It's extortion to those who dont understand or care about debt.
