(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:48, Reply)
there was no love for the spoon
this is why thicker soups are better, you can actually use a fork.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:51, Reply)
You're just wrong.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:56, Reply)
Whoa, hold on a minute! You eat soup with a fork?
Or is this a b3ta meme I'm just not getting?
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:57, Reply)
sort of
i prefer forks for things like puddings and ice cream. it has become a bit of a meme so now i like to play up to it from time to time.

but i still maintain that forks are much better for ice cream.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:58, Reply)
it's not a meme, she really is a nob.

Lofty or Harold Bishop or Jimmy Corkhill or Blake Carrington or who gives a fuck
Cold pasta pot and a packet of s&v. Exciting times.

I got a jar of spicy beetroot relish the other day and I'm now wishing I had a cheese sandwich with some of that on instead.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:48, Reply)
I have some polish beetroot and horseraddish relish at home, it's really good.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:50, Reply)
i fucking love a decent packet of s&v
kettle chips may be the best of all - discuss.

squares.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:52, Reply)
Closely seconded by Discos

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:54, Reply)
I find Discos are really stingey. Decent amount of flavour but only a 1/4 to a 1/3 full packet.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:55, Reply)
The crisps aren't the best part.
It's when the crisps are gone, and you can just pour the left over flavouring from the bottom of the packet into your mouth.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:57, Reply)
as a kid, i was always desperate to try those crisps where you shook your own flavour onto them
but we were never ever allowed them :(
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:58, Reply)
Assuming you mean salt-n-shakes and the short lived spin offs?
They were, for the most part, crap.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:01, Reply)
yeah, those
kid novelty. when my dad were a lad, he had a job in the crisp factory one summer, putting those packets of salt in the crisps. he said sometimes they would pile in 4 or 5, to give someone a surprise. must have been a crazy place to work.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:02, Reply)
Sounds mental.
The spin offs were a nice touch, I seem to remember one of them being bacon flavoured. Tasted shit though.

I'm pretty certain that salt'n'shake is still available if you want to give it a whirl as an adult.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:10, Reply)
I remember those, red packet instead of blue. And green ones for cheese and onion, the correct colour.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:11, Reply)
they're owned by pepsi now
sad times
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:17, Reply)

Only if I can have a gross cut of the revenue once the food porn is made into a shit film.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:03, Reply)
You can sometimes get lucky with store own brand versions
They're either heavy handed with the flavouring (just how I like it) or it's non-existant. I had some from Morrisons the other week that were ace.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:54, Reply)
i like quite a strong vinegar element myself
i think that's why the kettle chips are nice, they're dead tangy.

i also like s&v wheat crunchies. tasty little twats.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 13:56, Reply)
Sainsbury's own brand ones from the 80s were the best of all time. No question.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:01, Reply)
they were fucking fierce
my mum hardly ever let us have crisps, but when she did buy a multipack from time to time, my brother and i were banned from going anywhere near the s&v ones. those were daddy's special crisps.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:03, Reply)
Mmm yeah, really made your eyes water.

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:04, Reply)
hahaha those are the bad bitches

(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:08, Reply)
Them root vegetable ones
especially parsnip.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:38, Reply)
S&V crisps are an abomination unto the potato.
I'll gladly swap all packets of s&v crisps that come my way from henceforth for a decent packet of cheese & onion.
(, Thu 19 Feb 2015, 14:20, Reply)
It's a deal
I don't hate C&O but S&V are the daddy.
