YeahIt probably was a bit of a daft thing to say to a stranger. If you knew the girl and her sense of humour etc then it would have different, you would have known how she would take the comment.
I agree the backlash you received was probably a tad extreme, if it were my page you posted on I'd have probably just deleted the comment and spoke to you later saying 'mate she'll get upset' or something along those lines!?!
