Fuel!
How cna the price of fuel have risen so much in a year?

What used to cost me about £130 a month, now costs me in the region of £200!

Now that is a pet peeve and I feel impotent against it.

If your local MP is Labour
Write him/her a stern letter explaining that you'll be voting against them in 2010 if they continue to tax your fuel by 290%.

Might sound churlish, but by the sounds of things, Labour MPs are ready to suck cock to keep themselves in power in two years time, which is exactly the way all politicians should be.

I also ride a bike to work...

However, every nine months I have to replace chains, gears and tyres at a cost of circa £100 all in. It's still cheaper than driving or public transport.

@Frank
I wish I could cycle to work, thing is I live about 30 miles away, by motorway so not that practical. God I wish I still worked local, could go in with a hangover then too!

Cycling to work
I used to cycle to work (now I work from home but still do a fair ammount of cycling). I also remember having to replace the brakes once every 6 months coz my daily commute was a bit mental.
