This is a question Prejudice

"Are you prejudiced?" asks StapMyVitals. Have you been a victim of prejudice? Are you a columnist for a popular daily newspaper? Don't bang on about how you never judge people on first impressions - no-one will believe you.

Well...
I suppose there are some generalisations I find from experience to be pretty reliable:

Hippies are just lazy
Welsh girls are easy
Anyone who is properly into jazz is pretentious
Italian men are lecherous
The French take themselves too seriously
Short men are normally angry
Americans can't drink
No one competent works in HR
Southerners are soft compared to Northerners
Goths are just ugly people trying to make it look like its deliberate

However, I am friends with a very funny German, for the record.

Yes, the sausage-eaters are at least as funny as Brits, in my experience
Two recent (ish) global ruckus-event losses have also given them an admirable self-deprecating sense of humour.

True
Especially the Welsh girls are easy bit, I should know I grew up there most will do anything for a bag of chips and a day outvin Swansea!!

southerners are soft?
Where were the feckin' Krays born? Barnsley?!

Soft in other ways though...
...it's not just about fighting.

Most Southerners I know would moan all the way if they had to walk anywhere. I know plenty of Northerners who'd walk ten miles in a blizzard for a pint of milk.

I do just find that Southerners tend to be a bit more used to pampering and less used to slog and hard work, and Northerners are a bit more no-nonsense. Probably because the South is better off, of course, so not necessarily a bad thing....

I'm from the South and I walk almost everywhere.
But then I'm originally from Wiltshire and so very simple.

I'm also the least angry person I've ever met and I'm only nearly 5'6".

Hey
It's prejudice, I'm not saying it's always true, but I think most of the short guys I know have got quite a fierce side.
(, Thu 1 Apr 2010, 15:23, closed)
I know.
I started out thinking about making a joke about how I'm not angry by saying something angry. Then got distracted. Then I realised it wouldn't be funny anyway and then I posted something pointless that added nothing to the argument whatsoever.

I don't know why I bothered.

Pretty much...
...describes most of my posts

Well somebody has to go down those coal mines

Also
People who work on building sites are ignorant and can only communicate when discussing sport or tits.
(, Thu 1 Apr 2010, 15:35, closed)
Nah
I actually know lots of smart builders. Hence it not making my list.

If there was a profession you could generally say are a bit daft, I think there's a stronger case for footballers.

I've never met one of these "smart builders" that you seem to believe in
so I think it should stay on the list.
