This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

How about control yourself?
Just like a bloke with too much man-power coursing out of his nuts who feels like clocking or fucking everything within reach is expected to control himself. Nobody said it was going to be easy ...

yup easy to say
ok, slight difference, but to the extent that diabetics might sometimes have a hypo episode while most of the time they control their blood sugar. Its all hormones, and they're insiduous. At least when the blob starts, you get the physical stuff, and you KNOW whats happening. Emotional stuff is a sneakier thing.

If I'm honest, and serious, up until the last year, I never knew from one month to the next when I was likely to morph into superbitch. . . tracking your cycle isn't something one would normally bother with unless trying to get up the duff. Well, for me and most people I knew anyway. Too many other things going on than clock/calender watching
And its not until afterwards I'd be like, "fuck me, PMT again" although its obvious, I know.
Charting cycles has focused me into much more awareness of whats happening in my body, and its took til 32 (and a failed pregnancy). This isn't stuff you ordinarily get taught in school, or by parents.

I was serious with the other options - short of hiding yourself away for a week out of every month, which isn't really practical in a working scenario, what else can you do?
And its not just the anger/irritability/'could go off at any time' factor, its also pretty shit bursting into tears when its the LAST thing you want to be doing.
Its hard to explain, and I really don;t know why I'm bothering here because I think I'm just coming across as some whingeing hormonal female bleating on about how terrible it all is, thats really not my aim.
For some reason, and especially given this qotw title, I get a bit antsy about blokes writing off women for something that happens, and is shit all round.
Some people don't always want to change their thinking, and thats fine I guess, but stuff like 'deal with it', 'live with it', 'control yourself' . . . I guess that applies all around too then.
