I walk under street lights...
...and they go out.

It happens regularly. I have friends who have witnessed this numerous times. It freaks my fiance out when we go for walks at night when 4 or 5 in a row go out as I walk underneath.

I fear I might be some sort of dormant electrical-force-channeling superbeing or a failed Army genetic experiment of some sort.

I used to be able to 'hear' police radars - it was a high-pitched rapid chirping, which proved very useful when driving, and would freak out friends when I said "Slow down, there's a radar trap ahead" - and there was.

Now the cops use laser-based speed traps it doesn't work.

lights
I get that with streetlights too, going off as I walk under them. Sometimes they stay off, sometimes they come back on once Im a bit past them.

No one ever believes me when I tell them about it, but it fairly freaks people when they witness it for themselves.

Same here
With the streetlights..... And a senisitivty to certain noises - I can tell by the background noise sometimes what machine in the house is on standby. - I'm sure there's some explaination for it - a perfectly rational one. Having said that my dad could never wear any watches with clockwork in em - cos they would magnetise and seize up - so maybe it's something genetic - or in the blood.

I can tell
when there's an electrical device on anywhere in the house.

Not just the TV (because a lot of people can hear the high pitched sound from the screen, it's not just me), but even if the washing machine has been left on after finishing its wash cycle, I can tell. I just get a 'buzzing' in my head.

It's very bizzare.

Confirmation bias
Sodium vapour streetlights often fail in such a way that they come on very slowly, warming up, and then go off again very suddenly. They do this a lot.

You don't notice the times you walk under the lamp when it's coming on, because it doesn't do anything very visible quickly enough for you to notice. But you do notice when it's going off.

Et voila! A paranormal legend is born.

No idea about the radars though. Have you got any fillings?
