This is a link post From Advocate to Adversary
Speech given at the recent Bristol Woman's Place event.

If you thought the #Genderquake debate was shouty, antagonistic and pointless, here is a calm, reasoned yet devastating analysis of what's wrong with some of the trans agenda.

This is a normal post Thank you for posting this
The 'transgender debate' is really quite alarming right now, with the rights and indeed safety of women and girls in the UK being in danger.

I really don't care what gender people identify as; it has no impact on my life whatsoever. But I do care if some bloke with malicious intent is able to share a changing room with my wife or teenage daughter, because he told the staff he identified as a woman.

This is a normal post reasonably sure
that blokes with malicious intent are currently able to get into changing rooms

First, trans people have been using the facilities that they want to since forever. This whole worrying-about-trans-people is really only a recent phenomenon (unsurprisingly, it's mainly because anti-gay campaigners have shifted their target since equal marriage).

Second, blokes with malicious intent are already able to share a changing room with you or your son. And without having to drag up either.

Finally, let's say we want make a rule that you have to use the facilities that match your birth gender. So now, you'll have big burly beardy guys (the likes of Buck Angel or this dude below) having to use the Ladies', for example

So you'd make it even easier for a malicious man to get into the toilet because he wouldn't even have to drag up, thus making the entire premise behind it completely useless.

And then conversely there'll be the trans women forced to use the Gents. Do you really think those women are going to be safe doing that?

And what do you do about protecting young boys from gay men in the male changing rooms? Or are Transexuals particularly bothersome and deviant in your world?

This is a normal post basically you're saying to biological women who should go in their bogs and any fears they may have are unfounded
At that point the whole concept of segregation breaks down

This is a normal post I've been thinking about this.
For some reason, we separate people with willies and fannies when they're changing or abluting. Is it so hard just to have cubicles for everyone?

clearly we need to eliminate either
a) changing rooms
or
b) people

I'm agnostic as I don't like either.

This is a normal post We could eliminate clothes.
Then it would stop everyone having to change gender everytime they wanted to sneak a peak at a winky or front bottom.

If only the internet could provide some kind of solution to our voyeuristic kinks.

There is a small number of trans people saying "I know I'm not really a woman / man, I don't want anything more than people to be polite to me" - and they always seem* to be the people who have gone the whole hog with gender reassignment surgery.

* Haven't checked them all out yet

This is a normal post Another thing is the rate of intersex births is unlikely to change much.
Surgeons would make a judgement as to what parts to keep, without genetic testing.

The people I met just wanted to get on with their lives without being harassed.

I also feel sorry for the women (real, actual women) who are now shouted down by, and increasingly in the Labour Party, represented by "trans" women who are often in their late teens or early twenties.

Edit: subject line is missing a 'this'.

This is a normal post everyone just declares themselves a bloke for the duration of their ablution
there's nothing more blokey than farting and plopping, after all - works a treat. maybe we should all just revert to being toddlers, times were much simpler back then when we were all just tiny drunk people.
edit: i just hope that when all of this is resolved that we can finally put to bed the seat up/seat down argument. just agree that everyone has to put down both the seat and the lid when done.

This is a normal post A pub is not the same as, say, a swimming pool with kiddies. I remember thinking how progressive and sensible swimming pools in Germany were for having non segregated changing areas. That's not going so well these days. Still, its only been a few rapes.

This is a normal post Swimming pool we take our 9 month daughter to has mixed family changing rooms.
I think it would be very hard to rape someone there without attracting attention.

I certainly haven't bummed anyone. Yet.

This is a normal post Do a little googling on the subject. It's sadly being largely ignored by the mainstream so unfortunately the fanatics of Breitbart are the main English language source. Trannies or no, it's a depressing reminder why sex segregation is still necessary.

This is a normal post you probably mean the miramar pool in Weinheim?
Hello. I speak German and have The Google. Let me help.

Can't believe I had to read through this shit... There were something like 8 cases in a year, at the same pool.

I think you mean this - https://www.rnz.de/nachrichten/metropolregion_artikel,-sexuelle-belaestigungen-im-miramar-weinheim-angefasst-begrapscht-gebissen-_arid,344993.html

"Das Bad überwache den Eingang, die Kasse, die Gänge zu den Umkleiden sowie die Rutschen mit Kameras. Im Bade- und Saunabereich sei dies nicht zulässig."

"They monitor the entrance, cashier, entrances to changing areas and slides with cameras. This isn't allowed in the pool/sauna area"

Now, to me that sounds like an issue with the security rather than something to do with the changing rooms (otherwise surely it wouldn't be just this one pool?). Indeed of the cases reported, I don't see any mention of changing rooms, but things happened in communal pool/sauna areas.

And definitely zero mentions of trans people (or "trannies" as you will fucking insist on calling them despite being asked nicely before, you fucking cunt. Seriously. It's like a gay person being called "faggot" and it's fucking rude).

I can't recall a single news story about a trans person sexually assaulting anyone, much less a minor.

Doubtless it happens, but not to the extent that people should be getting in such a fettle over it.
