Myself and the missus have very much been enjoying savoy cabbage, thinly sliced and stir-fried with onions, garlic and bacon, so much so that we're eating about two cabbages a week. Absolutely delicious, though they could probably fuel a power station with the gas from under the duvet at night :(

Would they have made even better curries, or would they just not have bothered?

Personally I enjoy, on occasion, a fried onion and gammon tikka masala with olive-oil fried polenta slices. And wonder if it can get any better.

But then I remember Papoutsakia or just a really good trayful of crisp Roast Tatties...

Once I blanched them and cut out their cores and peeled them apart individually as miniature cabbages. Just a few created a huge mound. Then sautéed the leaves and drizzled with balsamic. At risk of being drubbed off to the links board, only if you care to see.
