# I hate it and everything about it

Because, thanks to the kids, I currently live
in 'World of Harry Potter' at the moment and
have to watch it at least once a day!!!

# you have kids that read that?

# : P
my 5 year old nephew has read it on his own... as has been said by librarians and literary notables, if it gets kids to read, it can't be all bad!

# kids reading is great
but kids reading that crap that just makes them want all the toys is bad :(
(, Wed 18 Jun 2003, 14:28, archived)
# funnily enough
he's never once mentioned any of the toys - in fact I've never met a kid that wanted any of the harry potter toys, they'd much rather have a real broom ;)

# Oh yes
Here in "World of Harry Potter", we have
wands and hats and the spectacles and fake
owls and that car and and and and .......

I stood on the glasses the other day and was
made to feel really bad!

# tell that to Just Here,
he thinks I'm being harsh
(, Wed 18 Jun 2003, 14:34, archived)
# I don't
I do think though that maybe some kids get too indulged ;)

# Spoil the rod
and spare spank the child?

# Now I was gonna mention
about the spotlight on Hermione anyway, but with your rather worrying comment below the pic I feel very scared...

Am I the only one to pronounce that name Hermeeown?
(, Wed 18 Jun 2003, 14:25, archived)
# I did that
for the first few years... the first movie was the first time I'd heard it said "properly"
(, Wed 18 Jun 2003, 14:28, archived)
# I've only read one of the books
and that was a couple of years before the first film came out - it took me ages to work out that Herm-eye-on-knee wasn't some new character they introduced for the film.

The pic up there is great though!

# Don't worry
When the little people in the house
settle down to watch it for the umpteenth
time, I say "Is that Hermee Ownee?"

They scream!!!
