# I wouldn't want to get into a political diatribe about this
but Stalinists weren't real Communists, they only used the word to fool the masses whilst Stalin and his cronies lived in decandent luxury. If this challenge had been about 'What if the Stalinists had won the cold war?' then you would be spot on. However I'm a little politically offended by the Daily Mail usage of the word Communist on the board in general.

Ah well nows that's off my chest woo yay for your picture.

# Too right.

# Too true
but then the challenge did mention ' If those dastardly commies had won the cold war' suggesting it would be the USSR in charge, thus the stalinist-communist posts would make sense.

However I agree that there is a great deal of confusion about the actual philosophy of true communism. I think many people here are simply going with the populist-capitalist-propaganda view for the sake of comedy though.

# You may be right in the technical sense,
But unfortunately with the Chinese Communists also using the term as little more than a label (instead of the more honest "Greedy Dictatorial Cunts" label), and the North Korean authorities doing the same, Communism as it has manifested itself in the real world is basically what's being used in the challenge. Communism in its pure sense doesn't exist in the real world, I hate to say.

# i really really wish that i could disagree with you.
But i cant. The Russians and subsequent 'revolutionaries' have achieved little more than giving the true meaning of the word 'communism' a bad name. Under Karl Marx's theories, countries like the USA, the UK, Germany and france would have gone commy through a social evolutionary process and ended up as a big happy world. Sadly the marxist partys such as the bolsheviks got a bit impatient and decided to go strait from a semi-feudal system (instead of uber-capitalist). This resulted in things being done wrong becuase the countries which actually turned commy were 3rd world countries which couldnt afford to support its people even if people like Mao ZeDong or that korean fella inteded to.
