I hate it when that happens. He must have reached the edge of the game map.
But actually the theory goes that the Universe just loops around on itself which actually messes with my head too much.

My theory
is, and it's completely made up, 'cos I'm no physicist, I'm just insane, that the Universe, while being finite in size, actually has no edges as such. Because space is curved (meh?), you could travel for a certain distance and just get back to where you started.
It's like us living on a round planet. The ground seems flat to us, but walk far enough and you'd eventually get back to where you started.
