exactly.
Why would Americans see Abu Hamza as a USA flag wearing patriot?

Well,
why not? Americans see everything as belonging to themselves, even non-christian beard-wearing stars of Peter Pan...
tsk, there drops the penny...

no.
I don't see why abu hamza would be considered american.
it's not really offensive to americans (although maybe to abu hamza) so much as a bit confusing.
oh well, at least I got a penny out of it.

ok,
he's got hooks for hands.
Perhaps if I'd stuck a capital letter A in a circle on his chest, he'd have been captain america, but CA wasn't in Peter Pan. And, 'banging' (as in sticking) Tinker Bell on his shoulder wouldn't have been correct either, as she never sat on Captain Hook's shoulder in the catroon.
And, I'd like that penny back for my 99p burger, please.

Americans see even their enemies as belonging to them?
Naaaaw. Why deliberately bomb your own property? (Although they do seem to be good at inadvertant friendly fire)

I doubt 'they' would want to claim
abu hamza is american. especially considering they want to extradite and prosecute him.
