# This is me before my bath this morning.

This is me immediately following my bath.

My four year old daughter did this and whilst it isn't that special, I really feel the loss.

incidently, given recent facism, I am not offering these images as an invitation to shoppery, but I do recognise that by placing them in the public domain I have renounced most of my right to moan about it if anyone does.

CDCs will not make me tell anyone to fuck off.

# I read that as Masonesque.
I was actually typing 'I dont do funny handshakes' and intending to finish with something along the lines of 'and I have never seen a mason with long hair' when I realised my mistake.

In what way do I look like I am a two story flat?

# Gosh! You're handsome!
Why the beard-off scenario? Less wind drag for the half marathon?

# You look much prettier without it.
Not that I am a beard Nazi. My Dad has a fab beard.
Also, good morning, lovely sunny folks!

# Prettier?
Fucking prettier?

Cunt.

# I'm not sure what you're disagreeing to.
The fact I called you pretty, which is a bit of a girly term.
Or unintentional insinuation that you were not attractive before.
(, Sat 4 Mar 2006, 11:40, archived)
# yes
(, Sat 4 Mar 2006, 11:45, archived)
# The former.
Obviously you wouldn't be suggesting the latter, that would be inconcievable ;)

(, Sat 4 Mar 2006, 11:46, archived)
# Well, quite.
Sorry for calling you pretty.
You look much more attractive in a manly Manley way without it.

# I do run windows.
I have to live all day every day with hippys telling me how much better Unix is.

I think Unix is better for servers and Windows better for 'pooters. I's like a G4 Powerbook, but I can't afford it (I really, really want to try the frogpad though).

That said, that is Knoppix you can see there I think?

# *rubs thighs*
just bought crossover office (40 dollars) and it`ll run all the useful windows stuff (wine is good, but tends to be flakey)

Photoshop is running quite nicely, although you can`t delete bits from a layer without it going black.. you have to cut them out, which is a bit shit, but still

ooh ooh

# Open office is better than MS,
but in general I think that Microsoft products are really very good for the home user.

Yes they are not as powerful, but everything kind of works if you don't want to do anything clever.

VPN works better too with XP.
(, Sat 4 Mar 2006, 12:19, archived)
# there`s a good vpn linux client (can`t remember what it`s called now)
which is just as non-fiddly as the windows version

but yeah I`d agree - MS for the cunts that they are have contributed probably more than anybody to making computing affordable

I just don`t like their flakey software - at least if it`s free and breaks, it`s no big loss .. but open office 2 is really nice (I thought 1.x was shit), and I definitely wouldn`t go back to regular office

once I get studio mx running nicely under linux, that`ll be me happy :)
