they really aren't very good films at all

it's only that they were so different and amazing back then, that the generation of children who saw it first time round got captivated by ity, and the merchandising machine kicked in to cement it's place in our conciousness

but if you watch them objectively, they really are rubbish movies. so don't bother, and spend the rest of your life pissing geeks off by deliberately getting star wars and star trek mixed up
