# don't forget the really important ones sit on a train, using the most expesnive laptop they could con out of their employer, shouting loudly to their work colleague via their crackberry
"Yeah, I'm looking at the charts now Brian, they look fucking top notch mate!"

:(

# I hate those people
I travel down to London about twice a month for meetings etc and the train journey is the best bit because you can sit there reading a paper, doing sod all for three and a half hours whilst getting paid for it to boot.

Put your laptop away and chill out for gawds sake, look at the scenery, have a nap, just don't pretend that the carriage is your own personal chuffing office space. GRRRRRRR.
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:39, archived)
# and DO NOT
ask me to fucking swap seats so you can use the fucking plug socket that's next to my seat or I will forcibly insert your laptop into your eye. That's right, your freaking eye.
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:41, archived)
# that is like requesting "You need to give me a killin!"
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:43, archived)
# Hahahaha
I like talking loudly with colleagues on the train. It amuses commuters.
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:44, archived)
# there is a plug socket for every seat.
unless you are talking about cattle class in which case if the people you are complaining about were of any importance to their company they would not be sat there.
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:44, archived)
# Staff at our place travel cattle class on both trains and planes...
and it's a FTSE 100 company :)

Unless that's just what they've been telling me..... the BASTARDS

# As a particularly violent man*
I much prefer being in with the plebs anyway as inevitably someone will challenge me for my seat and I'll be able to unleash unholy fury on their asses. ;)

* Surprisingly, I am not actually a violent man

# sometimes I just fall asleep on the train
and snore

and people get offended

hehe, twats :)
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:57, archived)
# I'm fine with snoring
unless people start using me as a pillow and dribble recepticle.
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:58, archived)
# or drunkenly tell you about their life
still, always fun to meet folk who are more fucked up than I am :D
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:59, archived)
# 100% BINGO
if they were that important they'd be in 1st/business and getting plied with wine/coffee/tea and well, not actually using the laptop unless it's to compare the quality of the porn they have with the other 1st/business class folks :)
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:48, archived)
# I use the train quite a lot
due to the fact I like to drink and ride. I always sit in first because I can so why not? I never do any work because i think that working on the train smacks of poor planning ( and who the fuck wants partition walls in first class anyway? ). I tend to make sure I have a few films or TV episodes on an SD card and get out my XDA ( never the laptop ) then catch up on that with a bottle of wine. The phone on the xda is always off on the train. ( but email and msn is on for the wife to jabber at me as usual )
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 13:07, archived)
# it's not that, I think they do it to just look important
unfortunately some folk really are only complete if they think people want to be them :)
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:42, archived)
# :(
Sometimes I use a laptop on a train. Sometimes it's the only time I can actually get free to run a bastard program that takes ten hours to reprogram, twenty hours to debug, all while people are demanding attention.

Then again, I'm not making pie charts.

# that's called work
not posing

:)
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:47, archived)

# I swear loudly at the computer if that's any good?
:)
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 12:59, archived)
# you know that doesn't work
the computer puts more bugs into your program if you do that!

they know man! they know!!!
(, Thu 13 Mar 2008, 13:01, archived)
# Oh
This would explain a lot. I'll be nice to it in the future. I'll even download some robot porn for it to watch when I close the lid.

Pacman will always be superior. Gaming reached its peak with that one, every other game is just a flashier looking Pacman.
