TJ:
does anybody know about codecs and stuff. I don't.
I'm trying to do a dvd for my mum's birthday, a couple of bits of video and some photo slideshows. The slideshows work OK when burned onto DVD but the vids play too fast although the sound plays the normal speed.
Any ideas?

Ooooooh not a clue.
All my brain said then was 'DivX' but I don't know what I mean, or even if I'm right.

I've got no experience with that, sorry :(
Nero is pretty good, I've burned many a dvd with Nero.
And it does slideshows etc.
Other than that, I can't help, sorry :(

are they both on the same disc or is one a slide show and one a film
i don't know why i ask as i don't really know any answers although i do know a fairly good freeware for converting and burning dvd's
www.dvdflick.net/
also were you doing anything else on your machine while the burn was happening, i've found that can cause problems, i'm told it's something to do with frame drop off or something.

Nothing else running on that machine at the time
All on one disc. Two bits of film and two slideshows.
I'll have a look at DVD flick though, cheers.

it does sound like it's dropping frames though
like you're getting 20 a sec as opposed to the 25 or so that you should be getting. ( numbers may be wrong)

hahaha1
i wanted to suggest speeding up the audio so it matches, but that's even less helpful than my help.
