# seamy Bill!
also, who would like to advise me on how best to illustrate this lucid masterpiece of straightforward English:

As an organization achieves Level 3: Proactive process maturity, established change management processes appear, processes for who has access to the data center is provided and the ability to track data center assets and configuration information emerge. The tools leveraged help track resources, but do not provide a holistic strategy that can accommodate across multiple data center or across all physical infrastructure domains (e.g., space, power, cooling, port connectivity, equipment and space). These organizations continue to have a fragment view of the data center infrastructure and continue to lack a service-driven approach where data center activities are aligned to key business objectives.

# well, an American
I despair

I'll eventually understand it enough to come up with a vague illustration that maybe addresses one concept - then I'll be asked to 'make it more sexy and/or fun'

# that's really shit grammar
and I don't do grammar good

You'll spend time and brain power pondering the the meaning of it all and it's inner meaning.

and in the end, they'll want a red squiggle with an arrow pointing out of it

and then you'll have to kill them

with hammers

# the average company
My version: they're doing some things right, but haven't yet got their collective head around other stuff. No-one's looking at the big picture.

PS: anyone who uses "holistic" in this way needs to have acupuncture needles inserted in to their eyeballs and testicles, then electrified. Corporate IT systems must be the LEAST holistic systems on the planet. Can you "fix" a complete network? No, you fix the bit that's broken, and you don't fix the bits that aren't broken. Fuck-all "holistic" about that. GRRR.

As an organization achieves Level 3: Proactive process maturity; established change management processes appear, processes for those who have access to the data center (sic) are provided and the ability to track data center (sic) assets and configuration information emerges. The tools supplied help track resources, but do not provide a holistic strategy that can accommodate across multiple data centers (sic)or across all physical infrastructure domains (e.g., space, power, cooling, port connectivity, equipment and space). These organizations continue to have a fragmented view of the data center (sic) infrastructure and the lack of a service-driven approach where data center (sic) activities are aligned to key business objectives.
