# I create new musical instruments for Jean Michelle JamJar to play
general 3d artist/animator doing various games/videos/projects for the last 14 years. Currently making Moviestorm teh free 3d film making package
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:40, archived)
# Cool. What games have you done?
Oooh I've seen that Moveistorm thing before. I'm not sure the integrated graphics card on my macbook will be up to it.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:42, archived)
# it might be a bit slow, especially if you start directing multiple actors in a scene
I spent a while with Codemasters doing FMV sequences for Race Driver 2 and 3 and helping out on various driving games. Plus before that made a Pole Dancing game for the PC :D
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:48, archived)
# if you ever get back to codemasters
please tell them to give up on MMO's, they are shit.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:51, archived)
# I was there when they were trying to do their first one
what was that called, cost them a fortune, had some beautiful art, but then never properly came out...
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:53, archived)
# was that possibly Jumpgate?
looked fantastic, failed miserably ( they are or have just realeased jumpgate 2 I think )

They just don't seem to be able to pull it off, it always looks cheap and nasty and never works for a community. ( Archlord Overlord, D&D online, LOTR online ).

They got all the best franchises and proceeded to fuck them up. Give it all to Blizzard ffs ;)

# no it was a big warcrafty thing
Dragon Empires, that was it
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 17:04, archived)
# I'm about to download
moviestorm now. Should one get acquainted with the software and find it useful is it possible to make paks for the community or does it require the use of my other 3d stuff to make models and import them? Or is there an SDK? What colour are your pants? No more questions.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:50, archived)
# It needs a bit of 3d know how to import stuff at the moment
but there are ways of getting Sketchup models in, and I think Blander users may be able to magic stuff up if they try hard enough.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:52, archived)
# ah ok. If you can use blender and sketchup
I don't think it's too far a leap to get things from Poser via Z-brush to work.
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 17:03, archived)
# I will listen from a distance.
Amazing. I mean...WOO!

There's a band called Butt Trumpet. I like their tune Flannel in Seattle. I imagine he might be playing that.

pissing annoying this delay
(, Sat 18 Oct 2008, 16:54, archived)
# I got onto the beta, but didn't have my PS3 with me.
Finally got my PS3, but then couldn't connect it to my monitor. Can't go from HDMI to VGA without spending an extra £60. :(

I did get a small go on it though, while I was at home. I love Stephen Fry...
