This is a normal post Meh, there was a place in my city that was infested with vermin
And had rat shit everywhere.

On a side note, our local council have the Scores on the Doors system where health inspectors grade any establishment that serves hot food and drinks a score out of 5 (0=vile 5=spotless) on the hygiene scale. A popular sandwich bar that employed about 8 people got a 1 score and my old boss told everyone in an email about it in an office of approximately 400. My old works must've been about 70% of the custom that went there, this was reduced to 0% literally overnight. It closed a month later.

Not sure that ever sat right with me, it wasn't like it was filthy or anything I've definitely eaten from more dodgy places and the sausage on toast was ace. I think we have a pathological fear of dirt in the West and as long as general basic hygiene is observed it's ok for human consumption, then again I wouldn't want to be eating rat shit in my Beef Fried Rice.

This is a normal post A score of 1 is pretty bad
1 means 'Major improvement necessary' - gotta be pretty bad to get that score

Maybe I'm not that fussy.

This is a normal post There's a chinese takeaway near me that has a hygiene certificate framed on the wall

This is a normal post A low hygiene rating can mean f-all as far as I understand
Could - very likely - mean the place is filthy.

Also could mean that it's clean as a whistle, but didn't demonstrate certain box ticking kow-tow.

Seem to remember MPW steakhouse in Birmingham getting a zero rating, something about not logging bins being taken out or some petty bollocks.

Birmingham also has the "Best Bar None" scheme. Criteria to win seems to be:
1: Are you a massive chain? (maximum point for 'yes')
2: How many door staff do you have?
3. What is your theft policy?

My local's response of:
1:No
2:None; "the day I can't run my pub properly so that I need door staff is the day I sell-up"
and
3: "We're against it, but hasn't happen as yet, see 2"

really didn't go down too well.

Best intentions screwed by petty bureaucracy.

This is a normal post The 'scores on the doors' is enforced pretty strongly round here too
The Mrs won't eat anywhere that doesn't have a 4 or higher. The local Indian takeaway in the village has a 2*, having been there I'm unsurprised.

*'Improvement necessary'

Fucker was huge and covered in flour.

Good kebabs though, it's the one on the corner with Manor House tube station.

walk right across the floor at McDonalds in Holborn once. I pointed it out to the manager, and he just shrugged.

I have some odd food allergies like onions so I find it hard to eat most takeaway foods. Yes I have tried asking them to make things without onions but then I get treated like a cunt and have to wait fucking ages.
Also I have had food poisoning a couple of times from takeaways and at the time it cost me money from a few lost days at work because there is no way I can work when I am exploding from both ends every 20 mins orso.

One Sunday morning after a club I was walking past McDonalds in New St Birmingham and saw about 10 rats inside the place all over the counters etc and it made me feel sick as sick can be.
So I gave up up eating out and all takeaway foods - 15 years later I am so happy I dont eat anything from places like this, yes its a bit of hassle having to cook every meal but better than getting ill or giving cunts like the owner in this vid any money.

Haha no that would be gluten intolerance wankers.
I know onions is a fucking odd one thats for sure, when I was a kid I was at a birthday party and munching on hamburgers with onions in them, next thing I know head is swelling up and I cant breathe and ended up in casualty.
Eventually they did all these tests down my arm and they came up with a whole list of things that I am allergic to.

I am probably not allergic at all to them now but even smelling them turns by stomach after avoiding them for so many years.
I have the same with cats I am very allergic to them but have lived with cats and a tolerance is built up, not had a cat for a couple of years and just last week was stroking a mates cat and came out in rashes all over my hands and arms ;(

This is a normal post My missus is the fussiest person when going out for a meal
on top of that she won't eat takeaway food, basically means that I'm a fast food eunuch in our house and get frowned at when I've been on the ale and bring a sweaty kebab home.
