£17k a night chalet
Somehow found this while searching for self catering in Norfolk. Looks amazing, but seventeen thousand quid a night?

Wow, the views are amazing.
Bit steep though. I'd want the swimming pool to be filled with gin for that kind of money.

I know a man
Through work who made a metric shit ton of cash in the eighties and has a ski chalet and a massive house in the country in England which he rents out for similar ludicrous sums. I've not visited the chalet, but I've been to the house and it is rather amazing (several nice bedrooms, huge kitchen, gym, indoor and outdoor pools, enough garden not to have to worry about the neighbours, etc.).
Thing is, since the recession, the demand for these sort of things for corporate getaways and the like, which used to be his main source, has massively dried up, and his rates have become somewhat negotiable because both properties (especially the house in the country) are empty most of the year.
In other words, If it's available at a particular time, and you're not made of money/gullible, you probably wouldn't even think about paying the asking price.
