Fancy a one way trip to the red planet?
Looks like they'll be turning this into a full on "X Factor" style event.... maybe.

Could they not just fill it with X Factor contestants?
I'd be quite happy for them to be on a one-way trip to Mars. Send Cowell and Walsh with them too.

I
was going to say that surely X Factor contestants would just crash during takeoff, but then I realised that while this might be an expensive exercise, it would be well worth it.

This is a splendid idea.
Maybe we should kickstarter it. £5K for catering should be about right I reckon...

I would suggest not watching it
then you don't have to be worried by them.

I avoid it as much as possible
Problem is that I get people trying to have conversations about it at work *every single week*. Plus it inevitably gets plastered all over Facebook.

This suggestion tramples all over our human right to be offended by anything for whatever reason.

Tell us about this world you live in
Where the X Factor doesn't permeate TV and radio news, newspapers, Facebook, and conversations in work and at the pub. Even if you deliberately avoid it like I've done its impossible to escape finding out about it.

The news I watch doesn't mention it
nor do the newspapers I read, at least not so much that I have noticed. The Metro has stuff about it, but I can ignore it if I want. I work with Deaf people so it's unlikely to come up at work, although some have some hearing but it's not a big topic of conversation I find. Hardly any of my friends watch it.
