First off, I declare myself as signed up fluffy friendly tree hugger.
I have had similar experiences with Greylag Geese on the River Thames. I really was getting ready to throttle one of the sods if they had another crack at me on my way to work. They stand as yet the only animal I have given a genuine “clip round the ear” to.
