This is a question Black sheep of the family II

Freddie Woo says: I was a bit friendly with this chap was once on Jeremy Kyle for what he called "brother and sister problems". He was such a family outcast they made him sleep in the shed. Tell us about your family black sheep.

I have a friend on the other side
We smile across the wire, but we never could decide on who was to be Abel and who was Cain - seven times sun, seven times rain.

I do find metal - hard metal - inherently very funny.
"GRAARRGH! I AM POWERFUL! I AM VERY CROSS! I AM ANGRY ABOUT A PERCEIVED POLITICAL SITUATION! So I've written some lyrics about it because I'm very sensitive."

Of course, you have to read the liner notes to find that out,
given that their 'singing' sounds like four minutes of a duck being electrocuted.

And there's barely a tune you can whistle

Andrew Lloyd-Webber needs to write a musical about metal.
Featuring such timeless classics as "HAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHH!", "NYUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!" and the unforgettable "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

You say that - I went to a Dream Theatre gig a couple of weeks ago, which was - as usual, apparently - entirely seated.
My musician friend that I went with said it was technically absolutely superb. I enjoyed it, but it was all a bit "Innovative use of a 12-chord blues progression in G minor" rather than "TUUUUUNNNEEE!"

Hmm
I have to admit to being enough of a music theory wonk for that to sound like my idea of a good time. Give me a good development over a good tune any day. Bach was capable of taking the most uninspired, repetitive tune imaginable and weaving something spectacular out of it. Mozart could churn out whistleable tunes all day long but never did anything with them.

I preferred their earlier stuff.

Actually I can see that flying.
Might have to get an Original Model Army t-shirt made up.

I was into grindcore until I read in a magazine that they go on about dead bodies and horrid things like that.
