This is a question Desperate Times

Stranded in a hotel in an African war zone with no internet access for two weeks, I was forced to resort to desperate measures. Possessing only my passport and the clothes I stood up in; and the warning "You can catch it shaking hands with a vicar out there" ringing in my ears, I had to draw my own porn in order to preserve my sanity.

Alas, it all came out looking like Coronation Street's Audrey Roberts, but, as they say, any port in a storm.

What have you done in times of great desperation?

Desperate Times
My wife is a bit of a social climber. When we decided to get married, she wanted us to double-barrel our names to sound more middle class.

The problem is my surname is Cox and her maiden name was Zúcker.

It took me months to talk her out of that.

hmm
is Cox-Zúcker better or worse than Zúcker-Cox?

My mates mum spent ages convincing some lady not to name her kid
Ben.

Unfortunately Mrs Twilly wouldn't listen.

There is...
... (or maybe was) a partnership of lawyers in the area around Guildford that I had the dubious pleasure of tweaking a website for. Mr Wayne and Mr Kerr. They didn't have the decency to use other words, even an 'and', or put Kerr's name first. Still, it's more honesty, however indirect, than you normally get from solicitors I guess.

My brother
went to school with a boy named Wayne King (no joke). His brother was called Joe :(
