This is a question My Saviour

Labour leader Ed Miliband recently dashed into the middle of a road to save a fallen cyclist. Who has come to your rescue? Have you ever been the rescuer?

Kidney Donor
Not me, but a colleague/employee donated a kidney to her spouse, since none of his relatives were willing. That takes courage.

That's a huge sacrifice just to make a pie

^ Same goes for liver^

I ordered liver in a fairly posh, French restaurant
and was asked how I wanted it cooked. Having only had it cooked to leather, as a child, I asked how the chef liked it. "Very rare," was the answer, so I chose that (the waitress wasn't entirely convinced that this was a good idea). Much to my delight, liver cooked very rare is absolutely delicious.
Kidneys are also delicious, be they in a pie, or pudding, or dusted in flour and fried up for breakfast. Having to soak them in milk, to remove the odour of piss, however, does take the shine off.
